I don’t know about you, but as a woman who travels I am a little underwhelmed by a lot of the travel advice that exists out there for us adventurous ladies. Vague warnings about not walking alone at night and the unavailability of tampons outside of the main cities is pretty much all you will get in a decent guidebook. Many of the biggest travel bloggers are guys, and while they do write interesting articles from time to time they don’t always address the issues and points of interest that I would most like to see.
In which countries is it totally normal for women to travel alone? Which are the countries where the local women are most open to engagement and even friendships with foreign female travellers? Yes, you understand you must dress modestly – but how do you do that and avoid looking like a dowdy scarecrow?! Are there volunteering projects where you can make a real difference to the lives of women in countries? How can you travel light but still have the essentials with you to stay looking good and feeling healthy throughout your trip? These and many, many more issues are or will be addressed in this section dedicated to you – the trailblazer, the intrepid female adventurer.
